METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF THE SPECIFICS OF TEACHING DISCIPLINE “graphics technique” FOR STUDENTS OF GRAPHIC DESIGN BACCALAUREATE
. Purpose . The article reveals the methodological approaches applied to the discipline on studying printed graphics to solve the characteristic visual errors / difficulties of students arising during training. Methodology and Approach . At theoretical and practical lessons the students mastered various methods of printing graphics: from relief printing – linocut, to the technique of intaglio – dry needle. Results . The methodological basis of the research was in the systemic-structural method of studying the art of printed graphics, where from simple introductory exercises on engraving the students were mastering more complicated level of making an artistic graphic work. During the course of study the intermediate results of students, who showed positive dynamics in mastering the skills of printing graphics, were studied. Theoretical and Practical Implications. This pedagogical study offers the use of competence-based approach, taking into account the specifics of the discipline of “Graphic Technology” with the use of a variety of materials and graphic tools while teaching students-bachelors in the field of “Graphic Design” to use various methods of printing graphics, such as: monotype, linocut, and the technique of dry needle. Printing graphics is presented as a discipline for the developing and forming students’ creative abilities, with their further use in project activities.
