The approach is based on the analysis of acoustic wave’s parameters, which are propagated upon the plating of the ship body after the outer bang on the plating with foreign object. The system consists of the series of integrated sensors and the control unit. These elements are connected by the high-productive digital bus. Each sensor consists of acoustic transducer, audio amplifier, amplitude detector, and microcontroller with built-in analog-to-digital converter. By the analysis of the time of arrival of acoustic wave to the integrated sensor the place of the bang is localized.
