Search for narrow lines in gamma spectra from p̄p annihilation at rest
The gamma ray spectrum from pp annihilation at rest has been measured with good energy resolution and high statistics using a magnetic pair spectrometer. We find no narrow lines with widths comparable to the resolution. We obtain upper limits (90% C.L.) on the yield of narrow baryonium states of 2–5×10−4/p for states below 1700 MeV, and 5–10×10−4/p for states between 1700 and 1800 MeV.
