This paper aims to indicate the aspects to consider in the selection of an educational repository of 3D objects, in addition to the characteristics of a repository such as interoperability, functionality, interactivity and standardization. To facilitate the reuse of 3D objects a distinctive feature is the real-time interaction with each of the stored resources, this is possible thanks to the use of the WebGL standard. For the selection of the repository a descriptive investigation was carried out where variables such as metadata and technology were triggers for the selection. As a result, the Sketchfab repository was selected and adapted because it complied with the evaluation characteristics proposed in which 54 3D UTPL models were uploaded.
