Probe into setting up big data processing specialty in Chinese universities

As the development of e-commerce, social network, Internet of Things and the mobile Internet, massive data was produced at every day, the data contains information of people life, work, thinking, and so on. Through mining the massive data, can analyze the past development mode of something, in some degree, also can forecast future development trend and results of something, this will effect on social all aspects, not only can improve society efficiency, also can create some new industry clusters. At present, data analysis professionals were seriously lacked in every country, particular in China. In order to meet the society's need of big data analysis professionals, help more young people to learn, study and apply big data, promote big data science innovation, setting up big data specialty would be necessary in universities in China. Through the analysis of big data specialty in universities in China, presented big data majoring core courses in Hadoop technology and elective courses in windows big data processing technology, analyzed construction of experiment base and training student mode, provided a reference thinking path for setting up big data specialty in Chinese universities.
