Multiobjective ant colony optimization for fast charging stations planning in residential area
The fast charging station consumes more power on residential power distribution network that impact line loss on the distribution system. Besides, the location of fast charging station will affect total cost associated with the fast charging station as well. Both factors should be considered in finding the location of fast charging station on power distribution grid. This paper proposes multiobjective ant colony optimization for the fast charging station planning in residential area aiming to minimize both total costs of line installation and line losses on the distribution system while maintaining system security. An IEEE 69-bus system is utilized to verify the proposed technique with three cases of battery size. The results show that the proposed method found the best location of fast charging station on residential power distribution with minimum both total costs and losses while satisfying technical, geographical and security constraints.
