The data was collected, analysed and summarised referring to the following problem areas: the importance of a game for school readiness; planning and organisation of a game in a pre-primary education group; the role of the teacher in the process of a game; children's involvement into the process of a game, and what factors influence it; the types of games, applied in the process of education in preparing children to attend school; children's favourite and the least acceptable types of games, and the possible reasons for this choice; the characteristics of games‘ organisation, referring to the game‘s type, purpose and targeted application.
