In this paper, proposed a new way to detect line in automatic arc suppression coil network for single phase to ground fault based on the theory that the zero sequence admittance of the fault line before and after fault are variable , while the zero sequence admittance of the non-fault line before and after fault are constant. Thus we can detect the fault line. The zero sequence current of the fault line measured by FTU can be transmitted through distribution network automatic system to line detection device. The device calculates and judges every zone' s admittance of the fault line, and then the grounding fault zone can be located.
