A Sociological Study of Increasing Trends of E-Commerce in Indian Society: During Covid-19 Pandemic

Present world is the world of technology. Each and every person depends on technology to do their daily routine works. E-commerce is a concept which is related to the technology and internet. The term E-commerce signifies to buy and sell the things via internet through various websites. It simply stands for electronic commerce which means buying and selling products and services over the internet. This process involves the transfer of goods and services, transactions of funds, exchange of data over the internet. During covid-19 pandemic, E-commerce has become an important assessment tool to lead our lives fearlessly. In lockdown period, where the people were not allowed to go outside from their home, it has provided a platform to fulfil our necessity while sitting at home. It has simplified the lives of the people and because of this people can easily select and buy the things they needed. It affects society in various manners. The main objective of this study is to find out the role of E-commerce in the lives of the Indian people.
