In 2008, 35.8% of patients had obesity, and 37.3% had severe obesity. However, patients with obesity accounted for most of the study population in 2017 (57.8%). During the observation period, mortality decreased in underweight patients from 18.1% to 13.2% (<i>p</i> < 0.001). Still, it gradually increased in all other BMI ranges, along with cardiogenic shock, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular fibrillation (<i>p</i> < 0.001 for all). Overweight and obesity are associated with better survival in STEMI patients with diabetes
Objective
