Cardiac cell sheet engineering for regenerative medicine and tissue modeling.

Stem cell biology and tissue engineering are essential techniques for cardiac tissue construction. We have succeeded in fabricating human cardiac tissue using the mass production technology of human iPS cell-derived cardiomyocytes and cell sheet engineering, and we are developing regenerative medicine and tissue models to apply this tissue to heart disease research.
