Penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan Januari 2023. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja pada daerah sentra produksi sagu yakni Desa Teluk Sungka dan Desa Teluk Pantaian Kecamatan Gaung Anak Serka dengan jumlah responden 100 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap pangan lokal sagu adalah sangat baik dengan skor 447. \nSago is one of the alternative local food commodities that has the potential to be developed as a local food ingredient because it has several advantages: very large availability, short distribution chain, good nutritional quality and grows according to local agroecological conditions. The research was conducted in January 2023. The determination of the research location was carried out deliberately in the sago production center areas, namely Teluk Sungka Village and Teluk Pantaian Village, Gaung Anak Serka District, with 100 respondents.
