Finally, the designed and the experiment results of the EPS Control Unit are discussed. Abstract

in modern cars, hydraulic power steering (HPS) is continuously substituted by the electric power steering (EPS). Electric Power Steering (EPS) has important significance in improving the auto's dynamic and static performances. This paper deals with the design of the microcontroller based EPS Control Unit. First, the principle and structure of EPS are discussed.
