Each tooth was split into four enamel blocks of dimensions (3mm long, 3mm width and 2mm thick) and embedded in acrylic blocks of size 5 x 5 x 5 mm. Each specimen was then immersed in carbonated drink with pH 2.7 for 8 min and washed with deionized water after every 2 min simulating in vivo soft drink consumption for one week. After the erosion process was completed, all the specimens were rinsed in deionized water and blotted dry .
