Abstract

Palm oil is naturally red due to the high content of beta carotene. Most of the fatty acids in crude palm oil (CPO) are saturated fatty acids, namely palmitic acid (32-59%), while that in pure palm oil (PPO) is linoleic acid (5-11%).
