Risk factors in elderly patients with arterial hypertension

Abstract

Arterial hypertension (AH), being a complex disease, ultimately leads to patient disability and mortality. Currently, due to the relative increase in the number of elderly people, the number of patients with hypertension is also growing. Despite sufficient information about AH, many problems remain poorly studied, including the definition of risk factors, the possibility of determining the predictors of complications, and measures to prevent the disease. The aim of the study was to identify the features of hypertension risk factors in the elderly.
