Abstract
The success of translation largely depends on the way and intensity of the relationship between the world of the translator and the world of the author. The hermeneutic approach to literary translation is aimed at an adequate recreation, and not at the reproduction of the original. Without penetration into the space of multiple sociocreative and ethnopsychological relations, the translator is not able to adequately translate the essence of the translated work into the multifactorial space of another language. The imposition of the ethnic psychotype of the studied language on the ethnic psychotype of the source language, according to the author, levels out semantic and cultural differences and the very concept of national self-identification. Based on the analysis of the most famous translations by Iuri Kojevnikov into Russian of the poetry of Mihai Eminescu Luceafarul, the article shows the influence of ideological and political factors on the nature of intercultural and interethnic relations and the need for a more thorough approach to the translation of significant works of national literature into another language.
