Malaria has a varied distribution in each of these countries. While two of them, Maldives, and Sri Lanka, have been certified by the WHO to be free of malaria, the remaining countries are still progressing towards that target. Abstract
The WHO South-East Asia Region includes the following eleven countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Democratic People’s Republic (DPR) of Korea, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Timor-Leste. Malaria has a varied distribution in each of these countries.
