Abstract
Plastic is ubiquitous with recent studies having highlighted that plastic is in bottled and tap water and food products including honey, sugar and beer. 3-10 tonnes are estimated to fall on Paris per year. Plastic has recently been shown to be a vector for heavy metal contamination and to cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB). Global concern regarding the health implications is mounting, with the World Health Organisation (WHO) having conducted a risk assessment review of plastics. Whilst knowledge gaps exist, we remain to eat, drink and inhale plastic without knowing what harm it is potentially causing. This paper discusses the scale of global microplastic contamination, the sources and routes of microplastic contamination including inhaling and ingesting plastics, and the potential health implications of plastic bioaccumulation. Research into biotransformation is new and evolving. This paper looks at how plastic is bio transformed and the potential pharmacognostical approaches that have the potential to maxi- mize plastic biotransformation. This paper discusses what is known about how plastic is bio transformed by Phase I cytochrome P450 enzyme group modification and Phase II glutathione, sulphation, glucuronidation and glycine conjugation pathways, and the importance of supporting endogenous antioxidants to assist plastic biotransformation. The paper specifically discusses what is known about how ingested plastics including phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA), and inhaled plastics, including dioxins and furans are bio transformed by these processes and what herbal medicine and nutritional supplementation may maximise plastic biotransformation and address plastic bioaccumulation. 塑料无处不在,最近的研究强调,瓶装水、自来水以及蜂蜜、糖和啤酒等食品中都含有塑料。据估计,每年有3-10吨雨水落在巴黎。塑料最近被证明是重金属污染的载体,并能穿过血脑屏障(BBB)。全球对塑料对健康的影响越来越关注,世界卫生组织(世卫组织)对塑料进行了风险评估审查。虽然存在知识差距,但我们仍然在不知道塑料可能造成什么危害的情况下吃、喝、吸入塑料。本文讨论了全球微塑料污染的规模,微塑料污染的来源和途径,包括吸入和摄入塑料,以及塑料生物积累对健康的潜在影响。对生物转化的研究是新的和不断发展的。本文着眼于塑料是如何生物转化和潜在的生药学方法,有潜力最大限度地提高塑料的生物转化。本文讨论了目前已知的塑料是如何通过I期细胞色素P450酶基修饰和II期谷胱甘肽、硫酸化、葡萄糖醛酸化和甘氨酸偶联途径进行生物转化的,以及支持内源性抗氧化剂协助塑料生物转化的重要性。本文具体讨论了已知的摄入塑料(包括邻苯二甲酸酯和双酚A (BPA))和吸入塑料(包括二恶英和呋喃)是如何通过这些过程进行生物转化的,以及哪些草药和营养补充剂可以最大化塑料的生物转化和解决塑料的生物积累问题。乙酰辅酶A:乙酰辅酶A;ALS:肌萎缩性侧索硬化症;ADHD:注意缺陷多动障碍;双酚A:双酚A;血脑屏障;CDG: d -葡萄糖酸钙;猫:过氧化氢酶;美国疾病控制与预防中心;CD:聚类分化;CAM:补充和替代医学;Cuzn-SOD:铜锌超氧化物歧化酶;CYP450:细胞色素P450;DDT: roethane;化学物质;
