Abstract

Cyclodextrins (CDs, tt cyclomaltooligosaccharides) with maltosyl and panosyl branches were produced from maltose or panose and CDs by the reverse action of pullulanase. Purification on columns of octadesylated silica gave G2-α-CD, G2-β-CD, Pan-α-CD, and Pan-β-CD. The solubility of G2-β-CD in aqueous 80% ethanol was higher than that of β-CD in water.
