Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluate the physiological quality of white guava seeds according to extraction location in the fruit and storage environment. For the extraction of seeds, sectioned the fruits into three equal parts, consisting region near the peduncle, the middle, and far from the peduncle. Subsequent the extracted seeds were separated in two groups, one for storage in Kraft® paper bag and other in Pet® bottle, but three two were remaining in refrigerator at temperature of 6°C ± 1°C for 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 120 and 150 days. After each storage time, the seeds were sown in gerbox® with germitest® in BOD without photoperiod at 25°C. The experiment was completely randomized, in a factorial 3 x 2 x 9 (seed position in the fruit x storage bag x storage period), with 4 replications of 100 seeds each. The with guava seeds cam be storage at 6°C conditions during 90 days, using Kraft® paper by or Pet® bottle. The seeds can be extracted of all parts the fruit is stored, but only of middle if it to imidrately.
