Seasonal occurrence, spatial distribution and control of the cocoa stem borer, Eulophonotus myrmeleon, in Ghana

Abstract

Eulophonotus myrmeleon larvae had population peaks in May and September and this occurred mainly up to 1.5 m above ground level. Adult emergence showed peaks in April and October. Larvae could be controlled by squeezing aluminium phosphide paste into the exit holes or by plugging them with pieces of wood. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd
