Bacteria identification on this Biomembrane effluent was conducted because it was indicated that those bacteria have potencies to degrade wastes in river water. In addition, we also calculated the bacterial growth rate. The isolated bacteria belonged to Gram positive bacteria in which two bacteria were categorized as the member of Bacillus genus, while another bacterium was categorized as the member of the Corynebacterium genus. Abstract

Biological treatment is one of the effective treatment methods for degrading organic compounds by utilizing microorganisms to treat complex compounds in the effluent water into simpler substances.
