Abstract

A new Zn(II) coordination polymer, namely [Zn3(TTHA)(bpp)(H2O)3]n·4n(H2O) (1 H6TTHA = 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine hexaacetic acid, bpp = 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane), has been synthesized by the hydrothermal self-assembly of Zn(NO3)2·6H2O, H6TTHA and bpp. Single-crystal x-ray diffraction analysis reveals that compound 1 features a 3D framework, which can be described as the 2D layers constructed by the Zn(II) ions and TTHA6– ligands pillared by the bpp ligands.
