AidPack: A Web-Based Report Management System for Community Incident Response

Abstract

The incidents and crimes in the Philippines are rapidly increasing year after year based from the reports from the PNP (Philippine National Police), BFP (Bureau of Fire Protection), and LGU. AidPack is a web application that allows civilians to report various street crime with the reports directing to barangay officials. Incident reporting addresses various problems and ensures the safety of each citizen around the community. The results from the functionality test, usability test, and user-acceptance test suggest that developing an effective incident reporting system requires the developer to consider ease-of-use, clarity, and clear proper instructions. The researchers recommend adapting other UAT models and conduct a comparative study of the system and conducting further interviews towards other agencies.
