Effect of cigarette smoking based on hematological parameters: comparison between male smokers and non-smokers

Results: The smokers had significantly higher levels of white blood cell (p<0.027), red blood cell (p<0.011), hemoglobin (p<0.001) and hematocrit (p<0.006), whereas mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (p<0.009) and platelet crit (p<0.017) were significantly lower. Abstract

Objective: The effects of cigarette smoking on human health are serious and in many cases, deadly.
