Abstract

Green pit viper is an endemic venomous pit viper. After green pit viper bites, thrombocytopenia and increased fibrinolytic activity were observed in addition to defibrination. Hypofibrinogenemia with normal levels of the other clotting factors was observed. In addition, thrombocytopenia, which resulted from platelet aggregating activity of the venom has been described.
