Contribution of the scientific, medical and public activity of Viktor Konstantinovich Menshikov into the development of Russian pediatrics

Abstract

The article reflects the diverse activity of Prof. V.K. Menshikov as a clinician, a pedagogue, and a researcher. Detailed information is presented about the formation, based on a Kazan children’s hospital, of a new direction in rendering medical assistance to babies and in nutrition science; the contribution of Prof. V.K. Menshikov into training of medical and scientific staff in TASSR and far beyond is shown.
