Thus, this study is undertaken to understand socio-economic impacts in tribal villages of Sikkim. Nonetheless the agriculturists of Sikkim were supported by the community forest area, which was called Gaucharan. It was the legal right of community for the use of community forest produces paying certain charges, which was granted by the Councils of Sikkim. However, the State Government of Sikkim imposed ban on grazing in the forest areas in 1998. Abstract
