Abstract

Periodical changes in the magnetic field of a synchronous generator, and its mechanical or electrical unbalances, have effect on the armature voltage, current and electromagnetic forces. Determination of these values during the design stage of a machine gives insight in its possible operation problems, and enables their easier prevention.
