Carob (Ceratonia siliqua), a basic ingredient in many chocolate formulations, was substituted for cocoa since it requires a large amount of sugar in the formulation and includes caffeine, which stimulates the CNS. Carob is high in natural sweeteners, has no fat, caffeine, or oxalates, and is high in antioxidants, which assist to prevent a variety of ailments. Many traditional drug delivery systems are ineffective for paediatric patients because their developmental state and dosing requirements differ from those of other groups of people. Age-appropriate medicines require technological platforms to ensure patient acceptability while maintaining safety, efficacy, accessibility, and affordability.
