Alfalfa cv. Hairy Peruvian was harvested at stubble heights of 5, 10, 15 and 20 cm in four successive harvests at 10% bloom after a mean regrowth period of 46 days. Harvesting at 10 cm stubble height is the best compromise between yield and nutritive value. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd
