The teaching of Latin and South American regional integration by the motto “Nuestro norte es el sur”: a postcolonial / decolonial approach to the thematic from the contact with the art of Torres García

Abstract

In  South America, regional integration has a plethora of overlapping initiatives. To investigate it, a postcolonial/decolonial approach is proposed to teach the theme in International Relations, based on the the art of Torres Garcia, which supported, with the phrase “our north is the south”, the need to change north-south power relations. Thus, it is aimed at forming critical subjects, rethinking the South American place in the world.
