Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 27 orang informan kunci. Data diambilmelalui wawancara dan observasi di lokasi produksi dan pemasaran Cabai. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan terdapat tiga jenis rantai pasok yang dibedakan berdasarkan jumlah pelaku yangterlibat dan jenis pasar yang dituju. Rantai tipe I dan II merupakan rantai pasok Cabai menuju pasarinduk. Perbedaannya terletak dari ada tidaknya pengumpul dalam rantai tersebut. Adapun rantai tipeIII merupakan rantai pasok cabai menuju pasar eceran lokal tanpa adanya peran pengumpul. Totalmarjin yang tinggi pada rantai tipe II menunjukan panjangnya rantai pasok cabai, sedangkan rantaitipe III menunjukkan rantai yang pendek dengan marjin keuntungan terendah. Perbandingan ketigajenis rantai menunjukkan bahwa rantai tipe III merupakan rantai yang memberikan manfaat lebihdalam aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan, lingkungan. Secara ekonomi, ROI petani meningkat dari 26,7%menjadi 43,7%. Secara sosial, konflik dapat dihindari melalui sistem pembayaran tunai. Ditinjau dariaspek lingkungan, rantai tipe III mampu mencegah emisi CO2sebesar 92,84%.Kata kunci: keberlanjutan, rantai pangan, cabai merah.ABSTRACTThis study uses a supply chain perspective to analyze the sustainability of fresh red chili bycomparing several types of supply chain based on the pillars of sustainability. Respondents were 27key informants. Data were collected through interviews and observations of production andmarketing sites.The results show that there are three types of supply chains differentiated by thenumber of actors involved and the type of market. Chain types I and II are chili supply chains to thewholesale market. The difference lies in the presence of the role of middlemen in the chain (Chaintype II). While chain type III is chili supply chain to the local retail market without the role ofmiddleman. The highest margin total on the chain type II indicates the length of chain, whereas thetype III chain shows the shortest chain with the lowest total margin. The comparison of the threetypes of chains indicate the type of chain III is a chain that provides more benefits in economic,social, and environmental aspects. Economically, ROI of farmers increased 26.7% to 43.7%.Socially, conflicts can be prevented by cash payment system.
