Besides, the jitter tolerance time allows the other stations to adaptively transmit their data without disturbing voice communication and preserving data packet delay. Abstract

Voice communication requires stricter QoS than other types of data communication. Thus, network operations, including the MAC layer protocol, should provide specific voice communication handling to meet voice application requirements.
