Abstract

Binderless particleboard from kenaf core was prepared by steam-injection hot pressing technology and conventional hot pressing technology respectively, and temperature variations of mat core layer was tested by thermocouple during hot-pressing process, density profile of binderless particleboard was tested by isotopic density tester, the effect of two different hot-pressing technology on mechanical properties of binderless particleboard from kenaf core was studied.
