The results of qualitative analysis revealed the presence of carbohydrates, reducing sugars and pentose. HPTLC method achieved a good separation of glycosides at 254 nm, 304 nm, 354 nm, 404 nm with recorded peak areas and Rf values. Abstract

Nakshatra plants are medicinally important and used from olden days onwards to treat various diseases. In the present study, a HPTLC method was developed for separation of glycosides in plants.
