Efficiency in using superplasticizer Sika Plastiment - 88 for producing concrete containing manufactured sand in road pavement construction

Abstract

Efficiency in using superplasticizer Sika Plastiment-88 for producing concrete containing manufactured sand in road pavement construction was presented in this research study. Due to the scarcity of coarse natural river sand more and more seriously, utilizing crushed sand to partially replace natural river sand in making concrete is essential. The initial study provided that the concrete containing 60-80% crushed sand with Sika Plastiment-88 was much better than the concrete containing river sand: Enhancing flexural strength and elastic modulus, reducing significantly construction costs.
