Revealing the Role of Writing Research Article for Publication in Academic Field

Abstract

Writing research article for publication is necessary to maintain innovative in academic field and also to increase the rank of Indonesian’s Journal in publication. This article is aimed to discuss the issues and challenges encountered by Indonesia students in writing research article for publication . The rank of writing for publication is considered low since University students do not have willingness to write research for publication. In contrast, writing research for publication is essential to increase the rank and do collaboration between lecturer and students. However, it is found that three major issues are dealing with writing research for publication such as no training for writing research article, the absence of collaboration research as essential part for research article publication and the barrier regarding to researchers’ self-confidence on the quality of writing a research. In brief, those three factors are indicated to contribute the underdeveloped the competences of University student in writing research for publication.
