Book review: 'Dezorientacje. Antologia polskiej literatury queer', ed. by Alessandro Amenta, Tomasz Kaliściak, and Błażej Warkocki, 2021

Abstract

The review discusses 'Dezorientacje. Antologia polskiej literatury queer', edited in 2021 by Alessandro Amenta, Tomasz Kaliściak, and Błażej Warkocki, which is the first anthology of Polish, queer literature. The author places the book as the successor of the works by (among others) E. Kosofsky-Sedgwick, Maria Janion. The review also describes its content (mainly examples of prose and poetry from 1780 to 2018), structure, and the meaning for the queer and minority studies, Polish literature, and history. In summary, the author considers the possible development for the published anthology, bearing in mind the content of the latest global queer literature collections.
