Arastirmada veriler, Kisisel Bilgi Formu, Bilissel Esneklik Envanteri, Genel Ozyeterlilik Olcegi ve Stresle Basa Cikma Tarzlari Olcegi ile elde edilmistir. Calisma grubunu olusturan universite ogrencilerinin Bilissel Esneklik Envanteri'nden almis olduklari toplam puanlarinin, cinsiyet acisindan anlamli bir fark gosterip gostermedigi T-Testi ile incelenmistir. Genel Ozyeterlilik ve Stresle Basa Cikma Cikma Tarzlari Olcegi'nden alinan puanlarin bilissel esneklik toplam puanlarini yordama gucu ise coklu regresyon ile analiz edilmistir. Arastirma sonucunda; universite ogrencilerinin bilissel esneklik duzeylerinin cinsiyete gore anlamli bir farklilik gostermedigi bulunmustur. Bilissel esnekligin yordanan degisken olarak ele alindigi coklu regresyon analizi sonucunda; genel ozyeterlilik ile stresle basa cikma tarzlarinin alt boyutu olan kendine guvenli yaklasim, sosyal destek arama, boyun egici yaklasim ve caresiz yaklasimin birlikte bilissel esnekligi anlamli duzeyde yordadiklari bulunmustur.AbstractThe main purpose of this study was to investigate the predictive role of self efficacy and coping strategies on university students' cognitive flexibility levels. Besides that, another aim was to examine whether there were significant differences in the level of the university students' cognitive flexibility in terms of gender. The study was carried out with 549 students who are studying at Ankara University in the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Faculty of Law in academic year 2014-2015. The data used in this study was adopted from Demographic Information Form, Cognitive Flexibility Inventory, General Self- Efficacy Scale, and Coping Styles Scale. T-Test was used to examine whether there were differences on Cognitive Flexibility Inventory total scores in terms of gender. The Multiple Regression Analysis was utilized to analyze that whether self efficacy and coping strategies significantly predict the level of cognitive flexibility.
