Abstract
Transdermal therapeutic systems (TTS) open up new opportunities for targeted delivery of long-acting drugs. One of the urgent and high-tech problems in the TTS creation has been the search for biocompatible TTS components, including drug transfer activators. Despite the complexity of creating transdermal forms, the number of medicinal substances delivered by percutaneous diffusion is gradually increasing. A significant disadvantage of nifedipine is its low solubility in water, which significantly affects the degree of release of the pharmaceutical substance from the base of the drug. Due to the absence of nifedipine-based transdermal therapeutic systems on the pharmaceutical market, their development in order to improve the biopharmaceutical properties of a pharmaceutical substance is an urgent problem of modern pharmacy.
