Abstract
We have recently shown that the Enseki sandbath, one of the newest ways of far-infrared (FIR) bathing, is safe and effective for maintenance of human health1 . Briefly, a bather was laid in a supine position in ceramic beads filled in a bathtab, which had been heated at around 50°C. The heated ceramic beads may radiate FIR rays, whose spectra was closely similar to those of 'black body', known to be 'perfect radiator'. Thoroughout this study, 'first-time' bathers included 31 participants. Among those, 11 individuals were further subjected to repeated sandbathing three times weekly (multi-time bathers). By re-visiting data obtained on the way of conducting that study, we re-evaluated its impacts on immunological contexts.
