Polymer-bound crown ethers. II. Catalysis of several condensation reactions by polymer-bound dibenzo-18-crown-6

Abstract

Complexes of potassium and ammonium salts or hydroxides with poly(dibenzo-18-crown-6-co-formaldehyde) were used as catalysts in several condensation reactions of aromatic aldehydes with active methylene (methyl) compounds performed in two- and three-phase systems. Activities of uncomplexed and complexed catalysts were compared.
