Abstract

Foam as an injected fluid for enhanced oil recovery has shown promise, particularly in steamflooding. In addition, foam is effective as a barrier to gas coning in thin oil zone. this work unifies the two approaches presently accounting for oil-foam interactions : spreading behaviour and thin film stability.
