Abstract
In contrast to the Ahmed valve implantation technique and solutions of possible problems associated with its implantation, the available literature does not clearly state the indications for the choice of classical glaucoma filtering surgery (especially for primary open-angle glaucoma) and of a valve hypotensive device. This publication aims to fill this gap.
