Wound assessment is an essential task to perform an accurate diagnosis and to select a suitable treatment. The purpose of the study is to assess the effect of a digital application for wound assessment among nursing students. Methodology: This was a quasi-experimental study performed at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, from January to August 2022. 99 third-year nursing students were included in this study. A questionnaire about wound care competence and the effectiveness of using wound assessment\napplications was used. Descriptive statistics and content analysis were utilized in this study. Results: There was no difference between the wound care capacity between the control group and the intervention group, but there was a difference in wound care capacity between the time before and after the intervention. The effectiveness of using mobile apps in wound assessment is average.
