Analysis and Design of Broadband, Transformer Based Matching Network

Abstract

A specific analysis and design strategy of broadband transformer based matching network is presented in this paper. The structure consists of a transformer and two shunt capacitors at both terminals. A design example is given, the simulation shows that from 27GHz to 33GHz, the insertion loss is less than 1.5dB and the ripple is less than 0.15dB.
