Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the reasons and prerequisites of the national liberation movement of the Mongols in Outer Mongolia and Hulun-Buir in the first quarter of the XX century. The work is based on the publications of individual Chinese historians, using a number of data from Russian researchers.
