Abstract

A novel control strategy and commutation method for Isolated Matrix Rectifier is proposed in this paper. The proposed control and commutation strategy based on the sector which the reference space vector is decided without any other current sensors. The logic of commutation is more simply and the procedure of commutation is shorter compared with conventional 4-step commutation. Because of the shorter procedure of commutation, the proposed commutation had less impact for the input current of matrix converter and less THD in grid side.
